KARACHI: The intelligence agencies have warned provincial government of Sindh of massive terrorist attack on Malir cantonment, Karachi in the near future, it was reliably learnt here on Friday.
Highly reliable sources told this scribe that the provincial government has been advised to take special measures for thwarting the possible attack on the army cantonment.
According to sources the miscreants of Jundullah, the organization which claimed responsibility of the Wagah border attack few days ago and an attack on covey of corps commander, Lt-Gen Ahsan Saleem Hayat in Clifton on June 10, 2004 among other terrorists acts, is planning a large scale terrorist activity in Malir Cantt, Karachi in near future.
The miscreants may use rockets and missiles to execute activity, sources said.
The Sindh Home department and both law enforcement agencies of Sindh have been advised to ensure extreme vigilance and tightened security measure.
It is pertinent to mention that warning issued on Friday emerged few days after the Wagah parade suicide blast which left 66 people killed besides hurting several others.
